profitec pro 700 with barista scale pulling a shot of specialty coffee espresso

step

Follow these steps and make a delicious espresso with your espresso machine!

1

Weigh 18 grams of coffee and grind it on grind setting 10-30 with the DF64|G-IOTA this is a very fine grind size.

2

Put the ground coffee in a preheated dry portafilter. Make sure the coffee is evenly distributed.

3

Press the ground coffee with a tamper (not too hard, not too soft)

4

Briefly flush the brewing group without the portafilter in the brewing group.

5

Put the portafilter in the brewing group and press the button (start brewing an espresso). Start timing immediately. The first drops of espresso end up in the cup after about 6 seconds.

6

Once you get to a brew output of  ±45 gram, stop the brewing process. Did you reach this weight in about 29 seconds? Then should have a perfectly brewed light/medium roasted espresso.

QUICK TIPS:
— Is the coffee too bitter, grind coarser or increase/decrease brew ratio

— Is the coffee too sour, grind finer or increase/decrease brew ratio

8

Stir briefly with a spoon through the espresso, and enjoy!
